Teacher Week: Where I Teach!

I'm three days in and lovin' it! My new kiddos are as precious as could be. But let me tell you that I am EXHAUSTED! lol So I am finally back in the swing of things and can handle a blog post...

So, I'm linking up with Blog Hoppin' to give you a peek at where I teach :) I took the photos the day before the first day of school, so everything is nice and neat! Enjoy the classroom photo tour!

the view from the entry door (we don't use the one on the back unless it's an emergency!)

Where I'll hang the kiddos art and projects... it says "room 12's wonderful work!"

I'll display their writing under the star pins and our monthly quilt will be on the green board. Below are my pocket chart and word work workstations.

the workshop board and a place to hang anchor charts (idea courtesy of the clutter free classroom!)

math tubs on the left, our treasures focus wall and an extra white board... I ALWAYS need more space :)

the writing workstation, math supplies and decoable readers

handwriting workstation and math manipulatives

high frequency words... not the fanciest thing, but very easy to read and maintain : )

question of the day  (from first grade blue skies!) board... hello pinterest magnets!!

the library! my favorite place in the ENTIRE room

A Sale and a Freebie!

Let's just say I'm in a giving mood... lol!

If you haven't heard TPT is hosting it's annual Back to School sale August 12th & 13th and I am joining in by putting my entire store on sale too!

I have my wishlist already cued up for shopping! :) I mean... 28% off... I can't wait!

And just for fun... here is a math game that I plan to play with my kiddos the first week of school. Two players, two game boards, and two dice. Player one rolls the dice. Add up the dots (or find the sum if you are feeling fancy!) and cover the pencil that matches. Then it's player twos turn. The first person to cover all of their pencils is the winner. :) Enjoy!
